Monopoly Meltdown: Live Nation Tells DOJ to Get Lost

Talk about a major backpedal. Live Nation’s top lawyer just tried to tell the Department of Justice to pack it up and go home over their massive monopoly lawsuit… and then promptly deleted the whole thing.

In a since-vanished post, legal eagle Dan Wall basically said the DOJ should just settle and let them keep Ticketmaster. The audacity! It’s like a robber asking the cops to just let them keep the jewels for old time’s sake. The post is gone, but the internet is forever, honey.

Why issue a statement so defiant, only to scrub it moments later? Someone’s lawyers are having a very, very bad day. This reeks of panic.

The DOJ wants to break up their concert-ticket empire, and Live Nation’s response is “it’s time to move on”? Sweetie, the lawsuit is just getting started. Buckle up.
